The most historic building in the village has been a scene of worship for over a thousand years. Anglo- Saxon and Anglo-Danish artifacts were found here during restoration work over a hundred years ago, indicating that a Christian settlement was in existence in the 9th Century.
The Church was restored by the Dugdale family in 1887
